Oral history interview with Thomas E. Noel, 1978 November 17.

Interview with Thomas E. Noel concerning his experiences as a banker. Noel discusses his family background and education, his boyhood work experiences, as well as his first job in banking, his rise to President of First National Bank of Memphis, and early banking practices, equipment, and laws. Noel also talks about the Depression, his retirement and move to Denton, Texas in 1951, his membership on bank boards, and he comments on banking in Denton through 1978 as well as his other business interests. At the end of his interview is included another document entitled, "Banking in Hall County, Texas, 1890-1978 by Thomas Ewell Noel" taped on September 15th, 1978.
